Email problems?

Is your password correct?

Yes we know it's a silly question, but usually users don't type their password in their email software. Have you tried to login with that password into your webmail? Please do so to confirm that the password is working correctly. Your webmail address should be something like: yourcompany.com/webmail or mail.yourcompany.com/webmail. Other email providers like Office365 or GMail have their own login page.

If you can confirm that your password is correct, we can look for other solutions.

Common settings

The most common settings in e-mail servers are as follows. Be aware that your SMTP username is your e-mail address, not your Resales-Online user.

Username: yourmail@company.com
Authentication method: Normal Password

Microsoft

⚠️ (click here for more information)
Host: smtp.office365.com / smtp.outlook.com
SMTP Port: 587
Protocol: STARTTLS

GMail, Zoho
Host: smtp.gmail.com / smtp-relay.gmail.com / smtp.zoho.eu / smtp.zoho.com
SMTP Port: 465
Protocol: SSL/TLS

If you are not sure about your settings, ask your system administrator.

Microsoft Office365 Email

⚠️ We have recently added a dedicated option for Microsoft clients to sign, please click the button for [Sign in with Microsoft]

If this fails, please try the following to set it up manually:

Use the Microsoft 365 admin center to enable or disable SMTP AUTH on specific mailboxes.

  1. Open the Microsoft 365 admin center and go to Users > Active users.

  2. Select the user, and in the flyout that appears, click Mail.

  3. In the Email apps section, click Manage email apps.

  4. Verify the Authenticated SMTP setting is ENABLED.
(unchecked = disabled, checked = enabled)

  5. When you're finished, click Save changes.

Office365 from GoDaddy

  1. Log in to your Email & Office Control Panel (use your GoDaddy username and password).

  2. Select Manage next to the user.

  3. Scroll down to Account Information and select Advanced Settings.

  4. Enable the SMTP Authentication option.

  5. Select Continue to confirm that you want to enable SMTP authentication for this user.

Do you use GMail or Zoho?

If you are using either of these email providers, see this article.

SPAM folder

So you have your e-mail preferences set up but your mail is being redirected to the SPAM folder. The most probable reason why your emails are being classified as Spam by your recipients is when your domain does not have valid Authentication Records (SPF, DKIM and DMARC). Check if those records are yet to be configured for your domain.

Zoho Mail

How can I configure my email settings in the ReSales-Online system?
