The Property Sharing rules are in the process of being changed.
As many of you have reported there are many issues with the current method for sharing properties in the Network. For example:
Many duplicates properties exist.
Old versions of properties are taking precedence over new versions.
We know there are old listings whose price is much higher than the recent version of the property.
Agents cannot see the alternative versions.
Properties which are for Sale AND Rent cannot have different sharing rights.
i.e. in the current system, you might have a property for sale and rent, but you cannot chose to share the sale but keep the rental private.
Rental Properties have no commission listed.
We have designed a new Sharing System for the future. However, this cannot be implemented overnight.

You need to update your properties for the new Sharing Rules
The message "You need to update your properties for the new Sharing Rules" refers to the new property sharing rules which will be coming into effect.
The 3 sections at the top of your Home Page give you a quick view of how many properties you will need to update for them to comply with the new sharing rules.
There are 3 sections:
Shared for Sale properties
Shared for Long Term Rent properties
Shared for Short Term Rent properties
If any of the 3 sections states that a certain number of properties need updating:
Click [Show Me].
A list of properties will display.
Under each property a shaded area will state what is required, eg: enter commission values, or, a valid Cadastral Reference is required.
Click [Edit Property].
Enter the missing details in the property.
Click [Save].
Repeat for each property.
If a section states 100% done - there is nothing for you to do.
