Duplicate cadastral reference report

Each property must be listed with its correct and unique cadastral reference.

The Duplicate Cadastral Reference report will alert your agency when the same cadastral reference has been used for more than one listing. The properties on this report will require your attention before they can be shared on the database.

If you have duplicate cadastral references, you will see a warning message on your Home Page - "You have properties using the same cadastral reference".

The message may appear as:

  • Green: All cadastral references are validated

  • Yellow: Some cadastral references require attention

To review them:

  1. Click the [Show Me] button.

  2. The system will display a list of the cadastral references that are duplicated.

  3. The listings will display in the same row as the duplicated cadastral reference.

  4. Check each property by clicking on them from the list. You can go to the [Address] tab when editing the property to establish if that particular property is using the correct Cadastral reference.

Next to each property, you may see one of the following flags:

  • [Valid]: The cadastral reference has been confirmed as correct

  • [Not Valid]: The cadastral reference is incorrect

  • [Review]: You need to verify if the reference belongs to that property

NOTES:

  • This is important so that incidences of the same property can be correctly linked together.

  • The "Near Here" information on each listing is also linked to the cadastral reference and so relies on a correct reference.

  • Repeated provision of incorrect cadastral references can lead to expulsion from the Network.
